Xbox 360 Banned from Xbox Live
So… Microsoft just recently went through a wave of banning a small percentage of modded Xbox 360′s from Xbox Live. After receiving feedback from several of my readers, whose consoles have been banned recently, I thought I would share some valuable information with the rest of my readers.
Here is some information about the XBox 360′s from the feedback I received:
Lite-On Drives A0A1
iXtreme 1.51
To the best of my knowledge, the games that were played were correctly stealth patched and not pre-releases of any major game titles.
So, my suggestion is, DO NOT play any backups on XBox Live. If you absolutely must play a game on Xbox Live, make sure that it is an original game. That is the best advice I can offer in regards to not being banned from Xbox Live. If anyone is questioning if it is possible to reverse the ban of a banned Xbox 360, I am here to inform you that as of today there is no way to reverse a ban.
The following information is for informational purposes only and may be considered illegal in some states or countries. Please use this information at your own risk and do not ask me for any help or further information.
A few friends of mine have successfully been able to obtain a new XBox 360 after theirs has been banned. What they did is go to K-Mart or Wal-Mart and purchased a new XBox 360. They then opened the box, took out the new 360 and replaced it with their banned one and then took it back to the store for a refund. The only thing that MUST be done to do this successfully is switch the serial numbers of the 2 XBox 360′s so that the banned one matches the serial number on the box and sometimes on the receipt as well.
Like I said above, I do not encourage this method, I do not endorse this method, I have never used this method but know that it works. Do this at your own risk, I will not be held responsible in case something bad happens to you for doing anything mentioned above.
Hopefully this post has been educational and I wish you all the best of luck with not getting banned from Xbox Live. Have a good weekend everyone.

Thats what i would do just tell the whole world about swap so that every store now checks for it DUMBASS
Ok, I’ll entertain your comment, for one I’m sharing information and not just information that hasn’t been shared before, but information that has been around since the days of the PS One.
K-Mart and Wal-Mart don’t care, the companies will never take the console apart to check if its been modded or missing the warranty seal, and if they haven’t figured the swap out by now then they never will and one post entry on one blog out of the billions of blogs and informational sites on the internet will not make those stores change their policies or start hiring specialty technicians to make sure that a returned console has not been modified.
Add to that a Hitachi with fw 1.51. I played Dragon Age on Thursday, was able to sign into live up until Monday morning when I shut the system off. Monday night, I was banned.
JGard,
Thanks for the info
Chris
uradumbass – so you say, mod your xbox and stealing games and cheating against your fellow players, get caught, then go screw x-Mart. It’s all OK because its a big companies and they deserve it!
What total BS. You SHOULD get caught and prosecuted. However you draw it on paper, its illegal. If you want to mod your xbox, GREAT, if you want to d/l pirated games, WONDERFUL, you want to go online and lie, cheat, and steal from your fellow gamers, HOORAY but for pete’s sake, don’t bitch when you get busted.
Now get back to your sofa and suck up some more of the handout money from the federal government, after all, I am sure we OWE you something!
I’m not saying anything, I’m just providing information. What people decide to do with the information I provide I completely up to them. I have no influence over the actions of any one individual.
This post will not turn into a flame war. This is the last comment of this kind that I will allow.
(dont have to post this, I just want to clear the air)
Chris, I wasn’t aiming that comment at you at all, on the contrary, I took your original blog as you were more reporting what has/was been/ing done and not a “how to” at all. I was very upset with uradumbass’s comments.
Ken
Ken,
No worries, I appreciate the support.
Chris
If your ban what are the consequences???
Only from x- box live or is there any other consequences???
Joseph,
As far as I know and from what I’ve heard, its only Xbox Live
Chris
I guess that sucks for the poor kid who ends up with a banned system on X-Mas. Too bad for him I guess.
A friend of mine likes to punch people who are douches in the face. Not that I endorse that kind of thing, mind you, just passing on information.
Joseph, I’ve been reading that you can’t install game on the harddrive and update you Xbox after it’s ban.
Chris, i have a lot of correctly stealth patched games but i play them offline only, I just like to play a few games online, and those games I have them original. Is there any chance that play a original game I get ban from Xbox Live? I still have iXtreme 1.51 and I’m not looking foward to update it soon.
Regards,
Christian
It doesnt matter if you only play original games online. They are detecting 360s with modified firmware and rendering those consoles useless on xbox live. So even if you are only playing burned games offline. Once you connect to live for any reason they will ban just THE CONSOLE not the account. Which means you will have to either go get another console or be like me and have 2 consoles. One modded. One not.
Thanks for sharing this information.
Well, I guess I will not connect to Xbox Live until there is a fix. Thanks for the info.
i have a question. seeing that i cant have live as i have only dial up at my location, i dont have to worrie about getting banned from live but im just curious. If you just play original games on live is the possibility of getting banned decreased? And i have ixtreme 1.6 cause i flashed my drive myself.
Just wanted to share my experience.
I never burned an unstealthed game, already tried to be as careful as you can with this. I never played a game that wasn’t freely available in the shops. I was banned recently. It happened a lot slower than I thought. 1: got booted out of World at War and back to Dash. 2: I was still chatting to my brother in a chat session on Live 3: I could still play one or two copies, and each one of my purchased games for the rest of the night. 4: Next day I couldn’t play anything but could still chat on Live and download. 5: Next day, nothing. Complete 100% ban.
I’m on a Liteon latest firmware. And never played a Wave 4 title.
So.. . doesn’t matter how careful you are, you can burn only stealth patched, verified games, and you’ll still get banned, eventually.
I’m sorry to read some of the comments posted on this and many other sites regarding Banned Xbox 360′s.
I recently had 3 Xbox 360′s BANNED and I’m aware of at least 3 more friends in the same boat as me.
Who cares about being BANNED. The fact is that the large amount of money I spent every year on LIVE Add ons and Themes. Microsoft is the one missing out in my eyes.
Yes I have had a mod done to 3 Xbox 360′s! Why? There has been games released I wanted but couldn’t get where I live. So what can I do? I did the same as I did with my old XBOX and paid for the mod. I also have 2 very young children and they tend to destroy disc’s very quickly. I purchased my orginals and Yes I made copies for my children. So shoot me!
I just wish people would just stop making a big deal out of something so small.
The fact is when you mod (for any reason) you take a risk of being banned!
hey i wanna get my xbox mod hit me up on my email with the detail please
EmptyBody@hotmail.es
make the subject to be xbox hack
Fernando,
I sent you an email with the info.
Chris
chris, can u please send that info to me 2.
Stealing, pure and simple. The stores loses on these returns, the open box sales this unit will end up will screw the buyer then, good for parts only.
Jay,
Not sure what info you are referring to, I’ve been MIA for a while dealing with a few things. Get back to me.
Chris
