MPA Cracks Down On NZB Indexing Services
Just yesterday I tried to download a movie from newzbin.com, I logged in, did a search for the movie I wanted. When I found the one that I wanted to download, I clicked on it which brought me to the details page. The first thing I noticed was that the Create NZB button was grayed out and then I noticed the big ugly warning, similar to the one below.

You can click on the image to make it bigger but it basically states the following:
This Report has been identified as possibly identifying copyrighted content by the MPA. As a law-abiding company it is Newzbin Ltd’s legal and responsible duty to suspend the NZB for this Report until it has been confirmed by the MPA wether the content on Usenet is actually copyrighted content. If confirmation is not received within 2 months then this Report’s NZB will be reinstated. We recommend you use our raw Usenet listings to seek alternative NZBs while their investigation is carried out.
Basically what this means is that because newzbin is an NZB indexing service, basically grouping all the necessary files to create a complete download, that an NZB in itself may be copyrighted because it is allowing you to download all the files for 1 complete film. If however you do a raw usenet search and compile your own NZB then you are not in any kind of violation.
