MyAdManager Content Ads Mod
I recently downloaded the MyAdManager WordPress Plugin developed by Vision Master Designs. The configuration is pretty straight forward. It took me virtually no time to set it up and integrate it into my WordPress theme.
Ads are easily setup through the admin interface by providing an image URL and a link as well as a few other options.
The feature I think this plugin lacks and would make more usable for everyone is the ability to add generated ad code from Amazon Affiliates, Google Adsense, etc… for the home ads. This would be a perfect solution for place holders rather than having 125×125 squares that say Advertise Here.
I have modified this plugin so that you can paste generated ad code into the link field when adding a new ad via the MyAdManager Admin section. Just make sure to leave the image field as it is. By default it should have http:// inside the text box just leave this the way it is and paste the ad code in the Target URL Text Box
To install the mod, download MyAdManager-Mod.zip and then unzip it somewhere on your desktop to a folder of your choice. After extracting the zip file you should find the file myadmanager-main.php , this file needs to replace the current myadmanager-main.php file.
To do this you must upload myadmanager-main.php to /wp-content/plugins/myadmanager/ you shouldn’t have to reactivate the plugin, it should just work.
