How To: Stealth Patch XBOX 360 Games On A Mac

This is a tutorial on How To Stealth Path your XBOX 360 games on a Mac. After much searching on google I have had a really difficult time finding anything to help me stealth patch XBOX 360 games on Mac that I’ve downloaded from the internet.

OSx360 Stealth Not Verified

OSx360 Stealth Not Verified

So this is sort of a follow up tutorial for How To Burn your XBOX 360 games on a mac. If you’ve opened OSx360 and the Stealth verification failed then you can’t burn the game and even if you could, you probably wouldn’t be able to play it in your XBOX 360 console.

This tutorial will explain in detail what you should do if Stealth doesn’t pass verification in OSx360. First you must download an application. The application we will need is called abx360, you can google for it or download it below. This application will fix an unverified stealth patch. ( Most of the time )

Download and install abgx360. Once it’s installed, open the application and then open up your ISO file of the game that didn’t pass the Stealth verification by clicking on the blue folder icon to the right of the text input field. You should have something similar to the below illustration.

abgx360 Open

abgx360 Open

Now click on the AutoFix tab and copy the settings below.

abgx360 AutoFix Tab

abgx360 AutoFix Tab

When you have everything set correctly you can click on the blue Launch button at the very bottom it should turn green when you hover over it with your mouse.

abgx360 Launch

abgx360 Launch

After clicking on the Launch button, a Terminal window should open and you should start seeing a bunch of text similar to the below. DO NOT INTERRUPT THIS PROCESS. Let it do its thing.

Notice the lines in Red, the game I am working with has a blank DMI, a blank PFI and my Stealth check has failed. These are all bad things and fortunately are all things that abgx360 will fix for us.

abgx360 Terminal

abgx360 Terminal

You will notice that towards the bottom you’ll see some nice green lines of text. PFI, DMI, Video and Stealth have all been fixed, now it just needs to verify the CRC of the ISO. Let it finish, be patient this could take a few minutes. Finally we know that the program has finished when we see the line AutoFix was successful!

You can now close the Terminal and abx360. Now you can follow my tutorial on how to burn your XBOX 360 games on a mac using OSx360 and when the Verify screen pops up you should see something similar to the following.

OSx360 After ISO is fixed

OSx360 After ISO is fixed

Everything looks good, Stealth Check has passed, PFI and SS Sector Data are Valid, DMI is Valid and all is right with the world. Now go ahead and burn your game and enjoy.

Hopefully I’m not repeating what someone else has already done but like I said, I have not been able to find a good / if any tutorial on the internet. Please let me know if I missed something or you have some questions or need some help.

    Tony,

If abgx says that it can’t find the game in its database then the game is probably too new still. Has it been officially released ? Chances are that it has been patched correctly but I would wait until it can be verified with abgx.

Hey Chris, thanks for all the info on your site. I didn’t have a clue what to do and now i’ve burnt 3 games successfully from using a combination of your program ISOx360 and abgx360gui. My question for you is about WAVE4 games, such as Tekken6 and the new Grand Theft Auto. both of these don’t pass the verification/stealth so I am reluctant to burn them. Are there going to be newer updates to abgx360gui and your own program ISOx360 that will incorporate WAVE4? Or is it a firmware issue? I have iXtreme 1.6, will a newer version when released sort the problem?
Like I said I’m new to this so excuse me if there are things that are obvious, any help is greatly appreciated!

    cheers

    Ben,

If you have iXtreme 1.6, all you need is the activation disk to play wave 4 games. Do a search for ixtreme 1.6 repack and the activation.iso file should be in there. As far as verification is concerned, my software uses a modified version of abgx to verify ISO’s, so as soon as they release a new version of abgx along with the source code, then I’ll be able to incorporate wave 4 into my software. For now you can load the ISO into isox360 and then look at the CRC and verify them with the CRC’s on http://abgx360.net/verified.php

    Hope that helps.

    HI Chris,

how do i burn an activation disk for wave 4 using a mac? does your iso360 do the trick or would toast be the better option?

  6. Chris says:

    Ian,

You can burn it using Disk Utility. That’s how I burned mine without any issues.

  7. Jim says:

    Chris,

Here is my problem – and I think I have the answer, I just want verification. I was using iburn360 to burn my iso’s. I would check the iso’s first with abgx and then burn. Well with the recent wave ban i went and checked some ISOs and got the same video error’s as the first commenter.

Failed to find or open ‘Video_0E58FB9D.iso’ (No such file or directory)
This is a very large video partition that isn’t hosted on the database…
You will have to find it elsewhere and put it in your StealthFiles folder
AutoFix Failed, Stealth is still uncertain

But that’s what’s happening now. So the question is – are these ISO’s useable – abgx can’t go over those ISO’s and fix them because I think iburn360 messed them up. Are they still safe to use even with the modified video partition that iburn360 put in?

    thanks!

  8. Chris says:

    Jim,

I’m almost 100% sure that it is iBurn that is corrupting the image. If I were you I would stay away from iBurn and use my application instead. iBurn modifies the image to try and get around setting the layer break correctly.

Just out of curiosity, which game is it that you are trying to burn. I’ve burned about a 100 or so and never had this problem.

Some games, like need for speed shift are not burning through the osx360. They return a 0 lenght archive when I drop them in the program. Am I doing something wrong?

  3. [...] In the meantime, OSx360 will still properly burn XBOX 360 games even if stealth is not verified. What I would suggest is this, use abgx360 to verify the ISO to ensure it has been properly patched.
